Wrongful Death by Electrocution

Details: The lamp featured below had been altered by the owner.  As you can see, the attached cord is approximately 25 feet.  Based on industry standards, the cord attached to any portable fixture is always be six (6) feet.

With the assistance of an electrical engineer, the Law Firm of Donald Edwards, P.A. was able to demonstrate that the alterations along with other hazards likely caused the death of the decedent and the case settled just prior to jury selection.

Wrongful Death by Defective Machine Parts

Details: The items depicted below were removed from a machine that caused someone’s death. The machine itself was more than 30 years old, but Donald W. Edwards, P.A., was able to prove that the machine had been recently modified and the part used was defective.  This resulted in the case being settled for a confidential amount.

Numerous law firms immediately rejected this case because the machine itself was more than 20 years old.
